Toni Morrisson's novel Beloved

I am publishing the essay "Toni Morrison's Beloved" which I wrote in 1995 with the wish that it might contribute to the study on the work of Toni Morrisson. 

Having learnt of her passing, I wish to express gratitude for her legacy. I had the opportunity to read Toni Morrison's novels, to have studied them and to have had the means to write a critical essay on the novel Beloved. I completed it in fulfillment of the unit of study on Women, Literature, Feminist Theory during Honours year at the Toorak Campus of Deakin University, Australia. 

As with the essay on the play by Jack Davis, No Sugar, written during Honours year and awarded the Austin and Valerie Asche Essay Prize in Contemporary Australian Society and Culture in 1996, it talks about 'resistance' and 'power'.
