tree trunk on the yarra
tree trunk on the yarra river melbourne, photo by silvana |
I'm sure a professional photographer can make this into a better photograph by adjusting the colour, contrast, brightness etc, but I love the composition: the trunk and it's sturdiness, the light on the roots coming out of the ground but blended with it, the child walking into the frame, the cool, metallic, reflective, serene Yarra river, the boat sheds in a thin horizontal line framing the top where the tree's canopy should be and the play of shadow around the trunk of tree. In fact, the trunk is protagonist displaying a quality of encapsulated strength, sturdiness, groundedness, wisdom and versatility - mmmmh qualities I'd love!
