A photo that I shot at Federation Square on Saturday. We were there for Scrivortigia - ready to write despite the cool weather, the drizzle, the anonymity in such a space. And we did just that. The pieces of writing will be in the next post. Unbeknownst to me the Melbourne Winter Festival was on, which meant that the Square was decked for the event with the luminous ball that you can see at the centre of the shot, a few strategically placed firepits, and the main one at the start of the Square. Inside the luminous ball Melbourne artist Tony Yap performed alongside a companion dancer. Around the main firepit Indigenous artists and elders welcomed in the Festival and performed.
